Van Doorn Ventures SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions apply to text messages (SMS) exchanged between you and employees of Van Doorn Ventures, LLC ("Van Doorn Ventures," "we," "us," or "our"). By opting in to or using our text messaging program, you agree to these terms and to our SMS Privacy Policy.

2. Program description
Van Doorn Ventures Business Text Messaging lets our employees text one-to-one with our customers and business partners from their individual business phone numbers through Microsoft Teams.
​
Types of messages you can expect: conversational texts from a Van Doorn Ventures employee about your business with us, such as replies to your questions, scheduling and meeting coordination, project or account updates, and follow-ups you have requested.
​
We do not send marketing or promotional messages, mass or bulk texts, or automated alerts through this program, and we do not text purchased, rented, or shared lists of phone numbers.

3. How you opt in
You agree to receive texts from Van Doorn Ventures in one of these ways:

1) Verbally, in person or by phone, you may give your mobile number to a Van Doorn Ventures employee's business phone number and say yes after the employee explains the program.
2) In writing by email, you may provide your number and agree to receive texts.

When an employee first texts you, you will receive an automated message from Van Doorn Ventures confirming your opt-in and explaining how to get help and how to opt out.
​
Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of doing business with us. The full opt-in process, including the script our employees read and the written consent statement, is at vandoornventures.com/sms-opt-in.

4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. The number of texts you receive depends on your conversations with our employees and your requests.

5. Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Van Doorn Ventures, LLC does not charge you for texts, but your wireless carrier may charge you for texts you send and receive, depending on your mobile plan.
​
6. How to opt out (STOP)
You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text from us. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPT OUT.
​
After you opt out, you will receive one final text confirming that you have opted out, and you will receive no further texts from that number. To start receiving texts from that number again, reply START.
​
Each of our employees texts from their own business phone number, so a STOP reply applies to the number you send it to. To stop texts from all Van Doorn Ventures, LLC numbers, email support@vandoornventures.com or call (678) 839-8641 and we will honor your request.

7. How to get help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any text from us to receive our support contact information. You can also email support@vandoornventures.com or call (678) 839-8641.

8. Where the program is available
Texting through this program is available only with mobile phone numbers in the United States (including Puerto Rico) and Canada that can receive text messages.

9. Carrier disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your wireless carrier and device and is not guaranteed.

10. Your privacy
We use your information only to communicate with you about your business with us. See our SMS Privacy Policy.

11. Your responsibilities
Please only opt in with a mobile number that belongs to you or that you are authorized to use. If you change or give up your mobile number, please reply STOP before you do, or tell us, so we do not text the number's next owner.

12. Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
