How to Opt In to Text Messages

Van Doorn Ventures Business Text Messaging is operated by Van Doorn Ventures, LLC.

Van Doorn Ventures employees text one-to-one with our existing customers and business partners from their individual business phone numbers through Microsoft Teams. This page explains how you can agree to receive texts from Van Doorn Ventures, exactly what we tell you when you do, and how to get help or stop texts at any time.

We do not collect text message consent through a website form. You opt in directly with a Van Doorn Ventures employee, in one of the two ways below.

What texts you'll receive

Conversational texts from a Van Doorn Ventures employee about your business with us, such as:

  • Replies to your questions

  • Scheduling and meeting confirmations

  • Project and account updates

  • Follow-ups you have asked for

Van Doorn Ventures does not send marketing or promotional texts, bulk or mass texts, or automated alerts through this program, and we never text purchased, rented, or shared lists of phone numbers.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in

Agreeing to receive texts is optional, applies only to text messaging, and is not a condition of doing business with Van Doorn Ventures.

1. Verbally, in person or by phone

You may give your mobile number to a Van Doorn Ventures employee in person or over the phone, including when you exchange business cards. Before sending you any text, the employee reads you this script:

"Van Doorn Ventures: May I text you at this number? You'll get texts from Van Doorn Ventures about your questions, scheduling, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for support or STOP to unsubscribe. Privacy and Terms: vandoornventures.com/sms-privacy and vandoornventures.com/sms-terms."

We text you only if you say yes.

2. In writing by email

You may give us your mobile number in writing by email and agree to this statement:

"I agree to receive text messages from Van Doorn Ventures at the number I provided. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe."

What happens after you opt in

We record the date, time, and method of your consent. When a Van Doorn Ventures employee first texts you, you automatically receive this confirmation:

"Van Doorn Ventures: Thanks for opting in to business texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

Reply HELP to any text from us to get our support contact information. You can also contact Van Doorn Ventures support directly:

How to stop texts (STOP)

Reply STOP to any text from us at any time. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPT OUT. You will receive one final text confirming that you have opted out, and you will receive no further texts from that number. To resume texts from that number, reply START.

Each Van Doorn Ventures employee texts from their own business number, so STOP applies to the number you send it to. To stop texts from all Van Doorn Ventures numbers, email support@vandoornventures.com or call (678) 839-8641.

Your privacy

Van Doorn Ventures will not share your phone number or your text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. For details, see our SMS Privacy Policy.

Terms and privacy

Texting is available only with mobile numbers in the United States (including Puerto Rico) and Canada. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
